The Yacht-Master II incorporates an interesting complication, instead of a regular chronograph which measures elapsed time, it features a regatta chronograph which countdowns time. Rolex employs the ring command bezel which is ingeniously interconnected with the movement, allowing the selection of the regatta function, or setting of the time by using the bezel. The present example of the reference 116689 is cased in white gold with a pure white dial, fitted with contrasting red chronograph hands for enhanced legibility.
